How refunds, cancellations and fund reallocation work for donations made through Kanoon Mehr.

Donations Are Voluntary Gifts
Donations made to Kanoon Mehr are voluntary charitable gifts. Once a donation has been allocated or transferred to a project, it is generally non-refundable, because those funds are committed to the people and partner organisations the project supports.
Errors, Duplicates & Disputed Payments
If you believe a donation was made in error, was duplicated, or you otherwise dispute a charge, please get in touch with us as soon as possible via our contact page. We review every such request case by case. Where the funds in question have not yet been transferred to a project, we will refund them to your original payment method. We aim to review requests within [TO BE CONFIRMED].
Cancelling a Monthly Subscription
Monthly subscriptions — for a project, for Sadaqah, or for Child Sponsorship — can be cancelled at any time from inside the Telegram bot. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, and no further payments are taken after that. Payments already completed are not automatically refunded.
When a Project Closes Early, Is Over-Funded, or Its Need Is Resolved
As set out in our Terms & Conditions, a project's need can sometimes be resolved before its funds are transferred, or a project may not reach its target. In those cases we do not issue refunds for this reason alone — instead, every effort is made to redirect the contributions to similar projects, and if a project falls short of its target with an amount too small to meaningfully address the need, the funds are allocated to another project based on priority.
How Refunds Are Issued
Where a refund is granted, it is issued through Stripe back to the original payment method used for the donation. Refunds may take several business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card provider.
